Laura Grimmer, President and CEO
As a communications strategist with nearly 20 years’ experience, Laura’s clients have included industry-defining companies like USinternetworking; leading services firms such as Sapient (NASDAQ: SAPE) and Pricewaterhouse Coopers; and enterprise software solutions leaders like CDC Software (NASDAQ: CHINA), Manugistics (NASDAQ: MANU), MAPICS (NASDAQ: MAPE) and Microsoft Great Plains.

She works closely with every Articulate client to define corporate messages and ensure the programs clearly align with business objectives. She is an active resource for every team and client for ongoing or special projects. In addition, Laura also taps her wide network of best-of-breed service providers to deliver various counsel as needed, from investor relations to crisis communications and presentation training.

Laura leverages her experience for clients as a journalist, including positions as a reporter and senior editor with The Associated Press, the world’s largest news organization. She honed her expertise in technology at a Boston-based mid-sized PR firm in the 1990s, opening and running its Washington, D.C., and New York offices before launching Articulate in 2001.

Laura earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of North Carolina.

Sharon Tolpin, Senior Vice President
Sharon Tolpin joins Articulate with more than 15 years of experience in directing the public relations, analyst relations and marketing communications activities of start-up and leading global technology companies. Her experience spans enterprise software, Internet media, identity management and security, online advertising, VoIP and various other industries. She leads Articulate's new media practice, providing both strategic and hands-on tactical support to help clients increase visibility in the marketplace, build audience and drive revenue.

Sharon has an extensive background in marketing strategy, marketing communications, customer acquisition and retention. Prior to Articulate, Sharon was vice president of marketing and communication for Critical Mention/ClipSyndicate, a real-time broadcast monitoring platform and video syndication platform. Prior to Critical Mention, Sharon was vice president of corporate communications at V-Secure Technologies, an adaptive behavior-based intrusion-prevention company that was sold to Radware (NASDAQ:RDWR) in 2005. Before V-Secure, Sharon held senior-level communications positions at Business Layers, an identity management company; Mercury Interactive (NASDAQ: MERQ), a Business Technology Software (BTO) company acquired by HP in 2006 for $4.5 billion dollars; Deltathree, a leader in IP telephony; and Solbright, a provider of sales and revenue management software.

She received her MBA in international business from Baruch College of the City of New York and her bachelor’s degree in consumer economics from Cornell University.

Jennifer Buchhalter, Account Director

With a wealth of technology public relations experience, Jennifer has represented established and emerging companies in a variety of sectors such as enterprise storage, supply chain, enterprise application software and infrastructure.

Prior to joining Articulate Communications in 2004, Jennifer was a senior account executive at Porter Novelli, servicing clients such as Applied Biosystems, a leading life sciences company; EMC Corporation, a provider of storage management solutions; PeopleSoft, the second largest provider of enterprise application software; and Optum, a privately held company specializing in supply chain execution solutions. She was responsible for managing all aspects of public relations activities, including developing written materials, persuasively pitching top-tier media, handling logistics for tradeshows and product launches.

Jennifer also served as an account executive at The MWW Group in Manhattan as part of the investor relations group, where she serviced companies such as Sterling Commerce, PETsMART and TransWorld Entertainment. She was responsible for financial media relations, benchmarking studies and communicating with financial analysts.

A graduate of Arizona State University, Jennifer earned a bachelor’s degree in communications with a focus on intercultural and organizational relations.

Megan Garnett, Account Supervisor
Megan brings a solid background in technology public relations to Articulate, having worked with a variety of technology vendors in various market segments, including wireless, security, telecommunications and enterprise software and hardware.

Megan has an excellent familiarization with the trade media, and has worked extensively with reporters in vertical markets, including government, security, energy, defense and financial services.

Megan is responsible for the management and execution of all public relations programs, with an emphasis on driving media results. Megan currently drives editorial outreach, speaking, awards and media and analyst relations for several technology clients. Recent projects include DataSynapse’s application-virtualization campaign, Antenna Software’s enterprise mobility launch and VMLogix’s LabManager product debut and media saturation program.

Prior to joining Articulate in April 2004, Megan began her career at Fusion Public Relations, steering day-to-day activities for MeshNetworks, a wireless broadband networking company (acquired by Oracle in late 2005), and PanAmSat (now called Intelsat), a global satellite communications firm.

Megan graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park, with a bachelor’s degree in journalism.

Kate Corcoran, Account Supervisor
With several years of public relations and communications experience, Kate brings a great depth of knowledge to Articulate with her extensive work in various technology segments and with her unique broadcast background. She has worked with some of the leading corporate, non-profit, government and technology clients.

At Articulate, Kate is responsible for strategizing, supervising and executing client public relations programs. Currently, she drives media relations, announcements and thought leadership efforts for CDC Software, CDC Games, RecycleBank and ToolsGroup.

Prior to joining Articulate in 2006, Kate worked for Strauss Radio Strategies in Washington and New York as an account executive. She ran the company’s New York office and coordinated radio outreach for prominent clients, including IBM, U.S. Postal Service, Save the Children, Coldwell Banker and the U.S. Bureau of Printing and Engraving.

Kate began her career with the Fox Television Show, “America’s Most Wanted,” where she worked in the publicity and promotions department, supporting the show’s media relations efforts.

Kate graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in public relations and a minor in political science from Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Conn.

Isabel Beil, CCO

As chief culture officer, Isabel is in charge of Articulate’s morale and anti-stress team. Day-to-day responsibilities include chewing, fetching, shedding and general silliness to enliven the office and give her human companions welcome comic relief.

Prior to joining Articulate Communications, Isabel held down the fort at the Trumbull County (Ohio) Animal Shelter, leading scores of freed canines in campfire sing-alongs.
